Since 1917, the YMCA of the Palm Beaches has served Palm Beach County. The organization states a mission to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. It is described as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA of the Palm Beaches reports working side-by-side with local families and neighbors and notes a goal of never turning away an individual or family from a needed program or service due to their inability to pay, supported by community giving through efforts such as the Day of Giving and annual giving campaigns.
